Gainsborough All Saints Church

 

A magnificent example of a Georgian classical `city' church, with massive columns, gallery and richly decorated in gold and turquoise in an interior filled with light. the tower, however, is  mediaeval, a survivor of an earlier building. The church is beautifully set in it's own grounds in the centre of the town and close to the historic l5th century Old Hall.
